Millie is a handbag for girls, who need to have all their little things in one place, so they can have their hands free to explore, and at the same time they want to look gorgeous and unique :)

What we need:

• yarn (different colours, I used blue, yellow, red, white, black, and pink)
• hook (mine is 3.5 mm)
• scissors, needle, thread to sew the button
• button
• stitch marker

Abbreviations:

mr - magic ring

sc - single crochet
hdc - half-double crochet
dc - double crochet

inc - increase

dec - decrease
st - stitch

slst - slip stitch
ch - chain

Pattern

HANDBAG

- start with blue yarn

1. start with 6 sc in mr

2. *inc, sc in next st* repeat 

3. *inc, sc in next 2 st* repeat 

4. *inc, sc in next 3 st* repeat 

5. *inc, sc in next 4 st* repeat 

6. *inc, sc in next 5 st* repeat 

7. *inc, sc in next 6 st* repeat 

8. *inc, sc in next 7 st* repeat 

9. *inc, sc in next 8 st* repeat 

10. *inc, sc in next 9 st* repeat 

11. *inc, sc in next 10 st* repeat 

12. *inc, sc in next 11 st* repeat 

13. *inc, sc in next 12 st* repeat 

14. - 20. sc in all st

21. *dec, sc in next 12 st* repeat

22. *dec, sc in next 11 st* repeat

- change to yellow yarn

27.  sc in all st, slst

28. *3 ch, sc to the second st (we leave out one st)* repeat

29. 1 ch, *in the loop from the previous round crochet 1 cs, 1 hdc, 1 sc* repeat, slst

30. 130 ch (or more, it depends on the preferred length of the strap), slst to the middle of the edge of the bag (app. to the 8th loop), crochet slst all the way back, finish off

FLOWER

- red yarn

1. start with 6 sc in mr, slst

2. *3 ch, 1 sc to next st* repeat - we have 6 loops

3. 1 ch, *in the loops crochet 1 sc, 1 hdc, 1 dc, 1 hdc, 1 sc* repeat, slst

EYES

- white yarn

1. 4 sc in mr

2. inc in all st, slst

- black yarn

1. 4 sc in mr, slst

We sew the flower and eyes on the bag. We embroider the smile and that's it :)
